Ashtanga Yoga
‘Astanga Yoga’ means ‘eight limbed yoga,’ and it is an authentic practice that can lead to liberation and greater awareness of our spiritual potential. The eight limbs of Astanga Yoga can be described as eight disciplines. They are yama, niyama, asana, pranayama, pratyahara, dharana, dhyana, and Samadhi.The practice of asanas in order to establish health, to correct imbalances, and to strengthen the system, thus stabilizing the body and mind, without which we are unable to control our sense organs.
Vinyasa Yoga flow
Vinyasa, also called "flow" because of the smooth way that the poses run together, is one of the most popular contemporary styles of yoga.The literal translation of vinyasa from Sansrit is “ Connection”. In terms of yoga asana, we can interpret this as a connection between movement & breath or the connection between poses in a flowing manner. Vinyasa allows for a lot of variety, but will almost always include sun salutations. Expect to move, sometimes vigorously, from pose to pose. Whether the class is fast or slow, includes advanced poses, or is very alignment-oriented.
Traditional Yoga
Traditional Yoga is slow, steady, controlled and conditioned practice which is performed according to one's capacity and therefore no forceful breathing is required. The breathing technique adopted is soft, controlled and relaxed throughout the practice. Inhalation is from nose, exhalation is also from the nose. This beautiful practice is essentially to be followed in the flow of Kriyas, Pranayam and Aasana. Traditional Yoga is extremely beneficial for increasing flexibility and body toning. This form of practice does not require any props as only the human body is to be used.
Power Yoga
Power Yoga is a rhythmic and swift form of yoga which combines the traditional Yoga practice along with varied forms of modern workout such as functional training, yoga poses rthymic & rigourous thereby accelerating weight and inch loss and providing overall health benefits. This form of workout is friendlier and adaptable to younger masses as it has a fast paced practical approach. Can be practiced with Props, which maintains the creativity and zeal of the power yoga. The breathing adopted is in the form of short quick breaths, where inhalation is from nose, and exhalation from mouth.
